Aniq Ahmad Joins Opportune as Managing Director and President of the Firm’s Outsourcing Practice

Mr. Ahmad brings 20 years of energy industry experience to Opportune where his primary focus will be managing the firm’s Outsourcing practice.

Before joining Opportune, Mr. Ahmad’s most recent role was at Generate Capital, PBC, where he served as the Corporate Controller focusing on clean energy, transportation, water, waste, and digital infrastructure. In addition, Mr. Ahmad’s career also includes serving as Vice President & Financial Controller of Targa Resources and Sr. Director, Technical Accounting & Special Projects of Freeport-McMoRan Oil & Gas, where his responsibilities extended to developing productive and efficient Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting functions, while also providing leadership on strategy-influencing business and financial objectives. Mr. Ahmad began his career in public accounting, primarily with EY LLP, where he was responsible for auditing large public energy companies.
