Merhi is running on a platform of Lower Tax Payments For All. He has Smart Tax Initiatives without affecting local government’s functionality.

1) Lowering taxes by lowering assessments, which lower monthly mortgage and rent; by overhauling BCAD and revising appraisal methods. Therefore, property values go down to true fair market price.
2) expand payment plans for everyone and reduce fees, cut penalties and lower interest rates,
3) cut business personal property tax, especially for grocery stores, which cut grocery cost for everyone, and
4) establish a board comprised of engaged members who will oversee real property assessment process.
