The Women’s Edge and The Boston Globe Again Name CCC to Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts List

CCC Ranks #13 in the Annual Award Celebrating the State’s Leading Companies and Nonprofits Run by Women

DANVERS, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Women’s Edge, a nonprofit that supports female business leaders, in partnership with The Boston Globe, has announced CCC, a pioneer in voluntary collective licensing, advancing copyright, accelerating knowledge, and powering innovation, was named to its annual Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts list. CCC ranked #13.

For each organization on the list, The Women’s Edge examined revenue or operating budget as well as other variables, including number of full-time employees in Massachusetts, workplace and management diversity, and innovative projects. The Women’s Edge then ranked organizations according to its own formula. This is the 23rd year that The Women’s Edge has created the list and the 11th year that the Boston Globe has partnered with the group.

CCC remains committed to continuous improvement in creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive (DEI) workplace. CCC’s DEI Employee Resource Group has developed an internship program with students from Arrupe College of Loyola University Chicago, and launched a pilot Girls Who Code program at a local school. CCC is a member of the Mass Technology Leadership Council (MassTLC), whose mission is to accelerate innovation, growth, and development of an inclusive tech ecosystem in Massachusetts through STEM pipeline initiatives, talent development, leadership, and advocacy. CCC is a member of the North Shore Juneteenth Association, an emerging 501 (c)(3) organization of community leaders creating awareness about Juneteenth, educating the community about positive aspects of Black American culture, and dismantling racism by using events and programming as tools of change.

CCC received a 2023 Top Workplaces USA national award and was named one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts by the Boston Globe. Last year, CCC earned several Top Workplaces Culture Excellence Awards for Employee Appreciation, Employee Well-Being, Professional Development, Compensation & Benefits, Leadership, Work-Life Flexibility, and being Women-Led. Armstrong was recently named to Forbes 2023 “50 Over 50” list.
