Best’s Review® Releases Digital Supplement on Flood Insurance

OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Best's Review magazine has released a new online supplement focused on flood insurance.

The supplement features stories on:

  • The reformations to the National Flood Insurance Program and their effect on balancing books;
  • A call from trade groups to Congress for support of the NFIP and private flood carriers;
  • How reinsurance costs and Hurricane Ian drove insurtech from the Florida private flood market; and
  • A lawsuit that says FEMA’s pricing methodology makes flood insurance “functionally unavailable” to many property owners and is an improper exercise of authority.

In addition to providing expert insight from industry leaders around the globe, the supplement includes companies writing U.S. private flood coverage from each state and the District of Columbia, listed by market share. Information is drawn from AM Best's BestLink® database, a powerful online platform that provides access to Best's Insurance Reports®, Best's Financial Suite and Best’s Alert Service products as well as tools for sophisticated research and analysis.
