The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas and Members Award $184K to 13 Texas Community Organizations

FHLB Dallas’ Partnership Grant Program Provides 3:1 Match of Members’ Donations

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Texas community-based organizations received $184,000 from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) and nine member institutions. A total of $557,250 was awarded to community-based through its annual Partnership Grant Program (PGP). View the award recipients.

“With its matching funds, our Partnership Grant Program gives our members added leverage to support local nonprofits,” said Greg Hettrick, senior vice president and director of Community Investment at FHLB Dallas. “Our members are very supportive of local community organizations, and we are proud to provide funds that help with their endeavors.”

Under the program, FHLB Dallas member institutions contribute $500 to $4,000 to a nonprofit, which FHLB Dallas matches at a 3:1 ratio to provide up to $12,000 to the organization per member. The awards help promote and strengthen relationships between community-based nonprofits and FHLB Dallas members.

The following community-based organizations were supported in Texas:

1. Southeast Texas Economic Development Foundation (Beaumont, Texas) - $10,000

2. Mission House & Mission House Clinic (Bullard, Texas) - $8,000

3. Heaven's Army of Resources & Recreation Center (Cleveland, Texas) - $12,000
   • Member: Austin Bank
4. South Dallas Fair Park ICDC (Dallas, Texas) - $16,000
   • Member: Independent Financial
5. SouthFair Community Development Corp. (Dallas, Texas) - $32,000
   • Member: American First National Bank, Cadence Bank
6. Credit Coalition (Houston, Texas) - $16,000
   • Member: Prosperity Bank
7. Houston Land Bank (Houston, Texas) - $12,000
   • Member: Home Bank
8. Habitat for Humanity of Deep East Texas (Lufkin, Texas) - $8,000 
   • Member: Cadence Bank
9. Legacy Institute for Financial Education (Lufkin, Texas) - $20,000
   • Members: Austin Bank, Southside Bank
10. Rock Bottom Ranch (Palestine, Texas) - $6,000
    • Members: Austin Bank, Southside Bank
11. Rockwall Housing Development Corporation (Rockwall, Texas) - $32,000

12. Habitat for Humanity of Texarkana (Texarkana, Texas) - $6,000
    • Member: Cadence Bank
13. Community Outreach Housing (Whitney, Texas) - $6,000
    • Member: Cadence Bank

The PGP may be used for:

• Organizational capacity building
• Assistance with applying for grants and other funding sources
• Research and studies
• Contractual services
• General operating expenses
