AM Best Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer to Present Criteria Updates at NAIC 2023 Insurance Summit

OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--James Gillard, executive vice president and chief operating officer, AM Best, will deliver a presentation on planned criteria updates at the 2023 Insurance Summit, which will take place Sept. 11-14, in Kansas City, KS.

Gillard’s session, scheduled for Monday, Sept. 11, at 10:30 a.m. (CDT) and titled, "Update and Overview of Group Analysis," will include a look at the rating agency’s revised draft criteria procedure on available capital and insurance holding company analysis. Gillard also will discuss AM Best’s framework for evaluating the performance of managing general agents and other Delegated Underwriting Authority Enterprises (DUAE).

On Tuesday, Sept. 12, at 8:10 a.m. (CDT), Jeff Mango, managing director, Strategy and Communications, AM Best, will participate on a panel titled, “The Broad Impact of Natural Catastrophe." The session will examine the different angles of a natural catastrophe and how far the indirect impacts can reach.

The Insurance Summit is hosted by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) and the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR). The event brings together a wide spectrum of insurance and regulatory participants, as well as industry innovators and other technology incumbents to discuss the future direction of insurance regulation.
