AM Best to Participate at 2023 LIMRA-LOMA Latin American Conference in Panama

OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AM Best will participate in the 2023 LIMRA-LOMA Latin America Conference, which is being held Aug. 15-17, 2023, in Panamá City, Panamá.

Carlos De la Torre, managing director of operations of AM Best’s Mexico-based subsidiary, will join a session on Wednesday, Aug. 16, at 2:30 p.m. (EDT) focused on retirement programs. Joining De la Torre in the discussion will be Jorge Claude Bourdel, executive vice president, Asociación de Aseguradores de Chile A.G.; Silvia Cardarelli, chief financial officer, Life Seguros y Origenes Seguros de Retiro – Argentina, will moderate. The discussion will explore how demographics, technology and regulation are reshaping the retirement income planning landscape. De la Torre joined AM Best in 2018 and has two decades of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industries.

The theme of the event is “Forces of Change: A New Chapter of Insurance.” LIMRA and LOMA are trade associations that provide resources for the insurance and financial services industries and have designed the event for senior executives from these industries that do business in Latin America.
