HealthPartners names new Chief Health Plan Officer

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--HealthPartners today announced that Jennifer Danielson will serve as its new executive vice president and chief health plan officer. In this role, she will lead and guide HealthPartners health plan as it continues to innovate and grow. Danielson will also be responsible for organization-wide efforts to connect HealthPartners care and plan capabilities to make health care simpler and more affordable for employers, members, patients and the community.

“Jennifer is an experienced leader with deep health plan, policy and regulatory expertise,” said Andrea Walsh, president and CEO of HealthPartners. “She understands the unique value HealthPartners delivers to employers, members and patients. Most recently, Danielson was the chief growth officer at Collective Health, a California-based health and well-being organization. She also previously served as president of Regence BlueCross Blue Shield of Utah for six years and was senior vice president of public affairs and policy at Cambia Health Solutions, a non-profit health company serving more than 3 million members.

Danielson earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Utah and her law degree from University of Utah’s S.J. Quinney College of Law.
