Lexia LETRS Named a Winner in 2023 SmartBrief EdTech Readers’ Choice Award

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Lexia LETRS® (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) from Lexia, a Cambium Learning Group company, has been named a winner in the 2023 SmartBrief Readers’ Choice Awards. The literacy-focused professional learning solution based in the science of reading was selected as the winner of the Professional Development category.

SmartBrief, a digital news service for education professionals in K-12, higher education, and specialized fields, launched the Readers’ Choice Awards to recognize companies and products that make a lasting impact on the education industry. SmartBrief readers evaluated and ranked the solutions and platforms they found most effective.

“It’s an honor to have been selected as a winner by SmartBrief’s readership,” Lexia President, Nick Gaehde said. “Teaching reading requires a deep understanding of the processes and science behind it, and our LETRS solution enables educators – from teachers to administrators – to master the fundamentals of literacy instruction required to transform student learning.”

Developed by Dr. Louisa Moats and leaders in the field of literacy, Lexia LETRS is used by educators in 47 states and teaches the skills needed to master the foundational and fundamentals of reading and writing instruction—phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and written language. An instructional coaching consultant who served as one of the 2023 Readers’ Choice Awards evaluators stated, “LETRS training is remarkably comprehensive, engaging, and effective.”

“The SmartBrief Education Readers’ Choice Award program is designed to give readers a voice – to let them tell us what tools and technologies matter to them,” said Kanoe Namahoe, director of content for SmartBrief Education. “And they have spoken. LETRS took the top spot as the professional development tool of choice for reading instruction.”
