Howard Energy Partners Announces the Addition of Steve Mawer to Its Board of Directors

SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Howard Energy Partners (HEP) today announced that Steve Mawer was appointed to HEP’s Board of Directors (“Board”) effective April 4, 2023

Mawer currently serves as Chairman of the Board of ClimeCo Corporation, an environmental commodities development and management company. He is also the current Chairman of the Board and former Chief Executive Officer of Calumet Specialty Products Partners, L.P, a manufacturer of specialty products for customers in various consumer-facing and industrial markets as well as being a producer of renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel through its subsidiary Montana Renewables, LLC. Additionally, Mawer serves on the Board of Directors for Zenith Energy, a bulk liquid storage company focused on safer and more sustainable liquid storage solutions. He previously spent almost 15 years as a senior member of the Koch Industries management team, most recently as President of Supply and Trading. Prior to joining Koch, Mawer spent nine years in commodities trading, risk management and refining operations.

In late 2022, HEP announced that the company recapitalized its financial commitments with Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo), one of Canada’s largest and most diversified institutional investment managers. HEP plans to continue its pursuit of critical midstream infrastructure as well as low-carbon intensity projects like hydrogen production facilities, renewable diesel logistics facilities, and carbon capture and sequestration projects at key locations along the Gulf Coast.
