Dr. Kathleen Daly, MD, MPhil; Dr. Irena Danczik, MD; and Dr. Jes Montgomery, MD will merge their intellectual capital and more than 70 years of collective experience to cement APN’s position as a pioneer in the interventional psychiatry space.

All members of this new collaborative peer group have clinical responsibilities at APN in addition to their leadership roles on the Medical Board. The unit is tasked with ensuring the research and efficacy exists to support execution of a new modality and managing the roll out process, thereby allowing APN to lead the field in innovative approaches to mental health. The Medical Board members are uniquely positioned for this role given their backgrounds:
- Dr. Daly is a board-certified psychiatrist with a masters in biological sciences from the University of Cambridge. She brings a background in neurology and expertise in psychedelic-assisted treatment to the board and serves as Medical Director of Plus by APN which focuses on innovative neurotechnology including Deep TMS, ketamine-assisted therapy, qEEG brain mapping, neurofeedback and more to address the root causes of physical and mental dysfunction
- Medical Director of APN Lodge and APN Denver, Dr. Danczik has over 30 years of experience specializing in substance use disorder and psychiatry. A former Yale Fellow and Director of Psychiatry at Colorado State University, she has spent significant time working with the veteran’s population
- Dr. Montgomery is double board certified and started out in family medicine before his experiences led him to specialize in psychology and specifically, addiction medicine. He brings 30 years of experience to his role as Medical Director of soon to open APN DFW
Launched in October 2022, the Medical Board will play a crucial part in promoting integrative care delivery systems and interoperability between various departments. Beyond breaking down silos, as APN grows in size and scope, this board will guide innovation and excellence both for APN client cases and the global behavioral health, addiction and academic medical community.
