Live Payments Leverages TNS for Nationwide Smart Terminal Upgrade

SYDNEY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Live Payments, one of Australia’s leading payment services providers, is strengthening its 8,000 strong terminals with managed connectivity from Transaction Network Services (TNS).

As part of a major strategic upgrade to its nationwide network, Live Payments will use TNS’ resilient and fully managed 4G-connected payments network to power its new collection of smart terminals coming online this month.

“We’re delighted to be partnering with TNS on our migration to Smart Terminals,” said Live Payments CEO Reuven Barukh. “This will enable us to offer faster transactions, with innovative commerce and payments capabilities, support for new apps and the ability to build value added services faster. The enhanced level of security provided by TNS’ network, as well as its round the clock monitoring and support, made them a great strategic fit for our business. Our new smart terminal technology empowers our customers to focus on their core objectives and leave the payments service elements to us.”

Founded in 2006 as a taxi payments specialist, Live Payments has rapidly expanded and diversified to serve other merchant types and now counts more than 8,000 customers across Australia. Its wide range of payments solutions are designed to address the evolving needs of customers and harness the benefits of the latest technology.

Live Payments will use TNS’ 4G connectivity alongside the Wi-Fi and offline processing capabilities of the Smart Terminal. TNS’ managed service offering provides resilient connectivity while delivering heightened levels of security. Data is routed across TNS’ PCI DSS certified payments network, eliminating the risk of misuse of SIM card data which is present with SIMs exposed to the internet.

“TNS is highly experienced and adept at facilitating the move to the latest technologies,” said John Tait, Global Managing Director of TNS’ Payments business. “Supporting and enabling Live Payments’ adoption of smart terminals along with secure and resilient connectivity plays to TNS’ strength and we’re pleased to be part of Live Payments’ digital transformation.”

TNS is a Level 1 PCI DSS certified service provider, and its secure network is supported 24x7x365 by TNS’ Network Operating Centers based in the USA, UK, Malaysia and Australia. With a strong payments heritage and more than 30 years of expertise, TNS accepts, connects, and securely processes billions of transactions every year through its secure Infrastructure-as-a-Service solutions.
