Bitrise to Host 2,500 Developers At Inaugural Mobile DevOps Summit

The Event Will Bring Together Global Leaders from Salesforce, Microsoft, Shopify, Reddit, eBay and Others to Address the Unique Challenges Faced By Mobile Teams

SAN FRANCISCO--()--Bitrise, the Mobile DevOps company whose platform maximizes the overall business impact of apps for the world’s most sophisticated mobile organizations, announced that it will be hosting the first-ever Mobile DevOps Summit. The inaugural event will host over 2,500 mobile practitioners to hear from over 100 mobile business leaders from companies including Salesforce, Reddit, Dyson, Shopify, Microsoft, eBay, Nubank and other mobile visionaries. The Summit is a one-day, global virtual conference taking place on Thursday, November 10. Those interested in attending can register for free here.

Mobile companies and app builders face unique challenges that aren’t shared by web and software developers, from app store approvals to a higher probability of bugs and crashes. The Mobile DevOps Summit will offer attendees an intimate and in-depth look inside the solutions, best practices, and processes of the world’s most successful mobile leaders as they navigate these unique challenges to mobile.

The event will be a series of 85 sessions, including Q&As, hands-on workshops, and success stories. Bitrise’s goal is for attendees to leave with tangible takeaways for accelerating their mobile engineering practices and maximizing their app’s impact on their companies’ bottom lines. The sessions will cover topics spanning the introduction of Mobile DevOps within an organization from mobile testing and debugging to increasing app store release frequency for iOS and Android to mobile-specific performance metrics that signal impact. Sessions will stream live online for 8 hours straight beginning at 6:00 a.m. EST/11:00 a.m. UTC for attendees around the globe.

The agenda will feature internationally recognized mobile thought leaders across industries, including Bitrise’s own subject matter experts:

  • The New York Times’ Senior iOS and Android Software Engineers Jamal Rogers and Sameer More will present on “Embracing Go for Mobile DevOps”.
  • Dyson’s Senior Software Engineering Manager, Jane McKay will present on “How KPI’s can drive your mobile CI transformation project”
  • Bitrise’s CEO Barnabas Birmacher will give the Keynote speech which will focus on “The Future of Mobile DevOps”
  • Reddit’s iOS Build Engineer Matt Robinson and Compass’s Senior Software User Experience Engineer Stephane Copin will present on “Mobile App Delivery: Accelerate and Excel Using Data - a Panel Discussion with Reddit and Compass”. The discussion will be led by Bitrise’s CTO Viktor Benei.
  • Shopify’s Senior Frontend Developer Andres Pineda will present on “ ‘Parlez-Vous Ingles’: Building Mobile apps for a Global audience”.
  • Microsoft’s Software Engineer Cesar Valiente Gordo will present on “Testing best practices on foldable and dual-screen enhanced apps”.
  • eBay’s Director of Native Platform Engineering Wyatt Webb will speak on “The Journey to weekly releases at eBay”.

Mobile development comes with its own set of specific requirements that a general DevOps pipeline is not built to cover,” said Barnabas Birmacher, CEO of Bitrise. “Mobile DevOps allows developers to handle these nuances and streamline the development process in the most efficient way possible. We’re looking forward to activating discussions and learnings on how mobile practitioners can improve their mobile app development to drive forward the broader business goals.”
