Academy Securities Attends the 2022 Municipal Bond Women’s Forum

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Academy Securities, a registered broker-dealer, certified Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE), and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), today announced its participation in the 2022 Municipal Bond Women’s Forum.

This year’s Municipal Bond Women’s Forum was held on October 13th in Charlotte, NC, with Academy serving as a Silver Level Sponsor at the event. The firm had several Academy employees not only attend the event, but also speak on the panel titled “Honoring our Military Municipal Market Firms and Professionals.” Academy’s panelists included Janie Mines, SVP of Inclusion and Innovation, and Rachel Washburn, Vice President of Geopolitical Strategy. The group discussed how the municipal bond market has embraced the diversity and experiences of military professionals and women breaking boundaries in the municipal industry. Wendi Denny, Vice President of Fixed Income Institutional Sales at Academy, moderated the well-received panel.
