Over $2 Billion in Total MSSP Savings Generated by ACOs Leveraging Lightbeam’s Population Health Solutions & Services

ACO clients using Lightbeam cared for 1.2 million patients and generated 13% of all savings achieved under the program

IRVING, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Lightbeam Health Solutions, the leader in population health management solutions and services, today announced that Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) leveraging Lightbeam technologies amassed a gross savings of $491 million for the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) in performance year (PY) 2021. This amounts to 13% of total ACO savings for the year. On average, Lightbeam’s ACO clients saw a 29% higher savings rate than ACOs not using Lightbeam.

One of Lightbeam’s key differentiators regarding cost savings performance and impact is its Advisory Services group. In PY 2021, ACOs leveraging Lightbeam’s Advisory Services generated an average of $10.6 million in savings and an average per-member-per-year (PMPY) savings of $425, which is 18% higher than ACOs not using Lightbeam.
