Glenmede Appoints Mark R. Parthemer as Florida Regional Director and Chief Wealth Strategist

Brings Decades of Sophisticated Estate Planning, Tax and Advisory Experience to the Firm

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Glenmede, a privately held and independently owned investment and wealth management firm, announced the appointment of Mark R. Parthemer as the Florida Regional Director, reporting to Adam Douberly, Director of Expansion Markets for Private Wealth. Mr. Parthemer has also been named Chief Wealth Strategist, reporting to David Plotts, Director of Wealth Strategy and Planning for the firm. Mr. Parthemer is based in Palm Beach, Florida, and is responsible for the continued buildout of Glenmede’s presence in the region.

Mr. Parthemer is also applying his extensive expertise to Glenmede’s Wealth Strategy team as Chief Wealth Strategist. In this role, Mr. Parthemer is responsible for developing and communicating the firm’s position and strategy concerning sophisticated tax, estate planning and fiduciary matters pertinent to families of significant wealth and their advisors.

Mr. Parthemer is a Fellow of the American College of Trusts and Estates Counsel. He is a frequent speaker on complex issues involving estate and trust planning, fiduciary practice and tax developments at national conferences for ACTEC, the American Bar Association, the Heckerling Institute and various other tax institutes across the country. He is the author of numerous articles published in professional journals and is Associate Editor and Columnist for the Journal of Financial Services Professionals.

Prior to joining Glenmede, Mr. Parthemer was Managing Director, Private Client Service, for TIAA, where he led the ultra-high-net-worth group. Previous roles included Managing Director and Senior Fiduciary Counsel at Bessemer Trust Company and Senior Tax professional at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Mr. Parthemer earned a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science from Franklin & Marshall College and Juris Doctor from The Dickinson School of Law, Penn State University. He is a member of the Florida Bankers Association Executive Council, Past Chair of the Legislation Committee and Incoming Board Chair. He is also Group Vice Chair of the American Bar Association, RPTE Non-Tax Issues, and a member of the Palm Beach County Estate Planning Council.
