MEMPHIS, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) today announced the launch of its tenth annual Small Business Grant Contest. In celebration of the 10th anniversary, the contest offers grants and services to ten (10) U.S.- based small businesses, distributing a collective prize pool of more than $365,000. The grant winners aren’t the only small business owners that will benefit. All 100 finalists will receive valuable mentoring and consultations from select organizations.

“Over the past decade, we’ve watched our winning small business owners grow and thrive and we are thrilled to be part of their stories,” said Jenny Robertson, senior vice president Integrated Marketing & Communications, FedEx. “We pride ourselves in being an ally for small businesses, because we know when small businesses succeed, we all succeed.”

The 2021 contest attracted more than 8,300 candidates from across the United States. Equine Amnio Solutions, a Texas based veterinary pharmaceutical company, took home last year’s grand prize.

Over the past nine years, more than 50,000 businesses have entered the contest in the United States alone. Over that nine-year span, a total of more than $1.3 million in cash & prizes has been distributed to more than 100 businesses.

The 2022 FedEx Small Business Grant Contest is open to U.S.-based for-profit small businesses that have 1-99 employees, have been operating for six months or more as of February 10, 2022, and have a shipping and printing need. To enter, participants must visit www.fedex.com/grantcontest and enter their business information (including their FedEx shipping account number), write a short profile about their business and how they would use the grant money and upload up to four images of their business or product, including their logo. While not required, participants also have the option of submitting a short “elevator pitch” video to supplement their entry.

The contest entry period is open from February 10 to February 28, 2022. The Top 100 will be announced March 22, 2022, with public voting to take place from March 22 – March 31, 2022. Following a judging period, winners will be announced May 4, 2022, at www.fedex.com/grantcontest.
