Omaha, Nebraska Nonprofits and K-12 Schools to Receive Nearly $575,000 from Pacific Life Foundation

 

OMAHA, Neb.--()--The Pacific Life Foundation announced today it will provide nearly $575,000 in grants to nonprofit organizations and K-12 schools in the greater Omaha, Nebraska area throughout 2022. Since 2005, Pacific Life and the Pacific Life Foundation have donated more than $6 million to nonprofits serving the Omaha community.

Grants will be awarded to nonprofit organizations in the areas of arts and culture; civic, community and economic development; education; and health and human services. The 2022 Nebraska recipients include:

The Pacific Life Foundation recently made a $50,000 donation to Kids Can Community Center in support of its Community Center Expansion Project. The expansion will double the center’s square footage, as well as its service capacity, providing accessible, affordable, and quality programming to some of the most vulnerable children in the Omaha community. Additionally, as part of the Pacific Life Foundation’s recent $2 million pledge to improve food security over the next five years, Food Bank for the Heartland will receive $50,000 of its $250,000 total pledge.

The Pacific Life Foundation 3Ts of Education program will award a total of $39,500 in grants to 16 local K-12 schools where concentrations of children and grandchildren of Pacific Life employees attend. The educational grants are designed to support needs in the areas of teacher training, textbooks, or technology.

The Pacific Life Foundation invests in the causes its employees care most about by providing ways they can give back to the community through volunteering or matching donations. As part of the newly enhanced program, employees can receive up to $10,500 in matching contributions annually by donating to Pacific Life’s annual United Way campaign, to nonprofits and universities, or from individual and team volunteer efforts.

Supporting communities where Pacific Life employees work and live, the Pacific Life Foundation plans to give a total of $8 million in charitable contributions in 2022.
