AffiniPay and LexisNexis Announce LawPay for Juris to Serve Tech-Forward Law Firms

LawPay Integration with LexisNexis Juris Will Streamline Payment Processes for Law Firms and Offer Greater Payments Flexibility to Clients

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--LexisNexis and AffiniPay have announced their partnership to advance the way law firms get paid by rolling out LawPay® for Juris®. Starting today, law firms using LexisNexis® Juris® 3.0 and above can offer their clients secure, integrated payment options through LawPay for Juris, including credit card, debit card and eCheck payments with the highest level of PCI compliance.

According to a recent TSYS survey, 75 percent of people now prefer to pay with a credit or debit card. On average, law firms that accept online payments using LawPay receive payment 39 percent faster.

“The overarching goal with Juris, and all of our legal business solutions, is to deliver greater efficiency, productivity, business insights and ease-of-use to our customers, which enables them to better serve their clients,” said George Tsivin, General Manager, Legal Business Solutions at LexisNexis. “LawPay for Juris facilitates and accelerates electronic payment acceptance for law firms while giving their clients greater flexibility in terms of how they want to pay. We’re excited for our collaboration with AffiniPay to make accepting payments easier for our users.”

With LawPay for Juris, firms can now streamline the posting of cash receipts for both operating and trust payments. This removes the manual processes associated with reconciliation and reduces opportunities for errors, while still maintaining compliance with bar regulations. With every transaction processed through LawPay for Juris, users now have the power to correctly separate earned and unearned fees in compliance with IOLTA guidelines. In addition, firms will now be able to process payments with features such as eCheck, QR codes and mobile app payments.

“In today’s constantly shifting legal environment, client-facing practitioners need to be singularly focused on providing outstanding legal services, which they can do by empowering back-office professionals with best-in-class payment solutions like LawPay for Juris,” said Meg Swanson, CMO of LawPay. “We are excited to collaborate with LexisNexis to provide a seamless payment solution for Juris users.”
