HSBC to Donate $50,000 to the Canadian Red Cross for Communities Impacted by Extreme Weather in British Columbia

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Flooding in BC has caused significant impacts to critical infrastructure and thousands of people have been displaced. To help support those affected, HSBC will offer financial relief to impacted customers, and has pledged a $50,000 donation to the Canadian Red Cross.

Linda Seymour, President and Chief Executive Officer, HSBC Bank Canada said: “This level of destruction is heartbreaking given all this region has been through this year. We are doing our part to support our customers, employees and communities as they deal with the loss and uncertainty created by this week’s extreme weather.”
