Harris Utilities and InvoiceCloud Expand Partnership with Focus on SilverBlaze

SilverBlaze Premier with InvoiceCloud launches today to bring best-in-class customer engagement and online payment solutions to utilities nationwide

OTTAWA, Ontario & BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SilverBlaze, a vertical market software business unit of N. Harris Computer Corporation (“Harris Utilities”) and InvoiceCloud, an EngageSmart solution for online bill payment services, today announced the launch of SilverBlaze Premier with InvoiceCloud, a customer engagement portal designed specifically for the needs of utility companies and their customers. SilverBlaze with InvoiceCloud is the next phase of a successful partnership between InvoiceCloud and Harris Utilities, which acquired SilverBlaze in 2020.

The new customer engagement platform and partnership behind it strengthens both companies’ commitment to the US utility market. SilverBlaze provides utilities the very latest tools to engage with their payers in critical areas of Smart Meter Management, Conservation and Outage Reporting. The launch of this new solution allows SilverBlaze to engage customers regarding their billing and payment and leverage InvoiceCloud’s best in class customer engagement technology.

“Utilities are under enormous pressure to provide the very latest in contactless, self-service solutions,” said Harris Utilities’ Senior Executive Vice President Jim Simak. “This partnership ensures that utilities across the US now have a turnkey solution integrated directly with their existing software.”

The Arlington Water Utilities Department in Arlington, TX both leverage the SilverBlaze and InvoiceCloud integration to drive e-adoption and paperless billing and payment. Since implementing the joint solution, the City of Arlington has realized a 60% decrease in payment related calls and $30,000 in annual savings in printing costs alone.

“SilverBlaze Premier with InvoiceCloud brings together leading customer engagement technology with the industry-leading online bill payment solution in one package,” says InvoiceCloud President Tom Griffin. “Our joint customers are delighted by the increased engagement, payer options, and revenue collected since implementing the portal, all while reducing call center volume and employee frustration.”
