NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today Intermix announced the launch of their Intermix for Good Tour, a nationwide sustainability effort that combines reducing waste through denim recycling and bringing communities together through giving back.
In support of its goal to create a more sustainable future, Intermix is collaborating with Cotton’s Blue Jeans Go Green™ program to collect denim made from cotton, which can be recycled to create something new. Customers can receive 20% off a new denim purchase by bringing an old pair of jeans into any INTERMIX boutique and they will be recycled through Cotton’s Blue Jeans Go Green™ program.
Additionally, the Intermix for Good Tour will be partnering with three denim brands, Re/Done, Retrofete and AGOLDE for a beach and community clean up in cities across the United States.
- Intermix x Re/Done - Venice Beach, CA - October 17 at 10AM
- Intermix x Retrofete - South Beach, FL - October 23 at 11AM
- Intermix x AGOLDE – Battery Park, NYC - October 30 at 10AM
“Intermix is committed to incorporating more eco-friendly practices in our business, and we’re thrilled to be working with Cotton Incorporated’s Blue Jeans Go Green™ denim recycling program for our Intermix for Good Tour,” says Intermix CEO, Jyothi Rao. “We have always been a destination for the best pair of denim, and with this initiative, we’re extending the lifecycle of your pair of jeans and proving that style and sustainability can co-exist. And as part of our Intermix for Good Tour we’ll be hosting beach and city cleanups with our brand partners who are committed to the cause, forming a community working to create a more sustainable future.”

About Cotton Incorporated’s Blue Jeans Go Green™ Program
The Blue Jeans Go Green™ denim recycling program was created in 2006 by Cotton Incorporated as a call-to-action to recycle denim and give it “new life” by transforming it into something new.
The program strives to inspire sustainable living by educating people on cotton’s natural lifecycle and engages consumers and local communities by diverting unwanted denim from landfills, helping to close the loop on cotton sustainability while emphasizing the environmental stewardship of the U.S. cotton industry at large.
