CareAcademy Announces Online Continuing Education for Senior Care Agency Administrators

Nationally Accredited Training Helps Agency Leaders Deliver Quality Care; Satisfies Home Care and Home Health Administrator State Licensing Requirements

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CareAcademy, provider of the leading home care and home health workforce empowerment platform, today announced the addition of over 30 continuing education courses for agency administrators to its training library. The approved courses, which are accredited by the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB), enable administrators to renew their state licensure and ensure the highest quality of agency management and client care.

“Running a home care or home health agency is increasingly complex as we navigate unprecedented changes in the industry from care staff shortages to vaccine mandates, placing incredible pressure on agency administrators,” said Aaron Dun, senior vice president of marketing at CareAcademy. “Adding NAB-approved administrator training aims to help agency administrators manage that complexity from within the same platform they are already familiar with. This addition represents our ongoing belief in the power of professional development to enable more access to quality care for those who need it.”

CareAcademy now offers 31 distinct course titles and 80 hours of self-paced, web-based administrator training on topics such as medical ethics, leadership principles and client rights, as well as client-specific conditions, such as stroke, depression and COPD. Administrators can now receive continuing education units in the same user-friendly environment that has trained more than 200,000 direct care workers to date.

The new administrator training is applicable in every state and valuable for senior care agency administrators of all kinds. In addition, the courses meet the continuing education requirements in states that have specific training mandates for licensed home care and home health administrators: Texas, Colorado and Oklahoma.
