Financial Wellbeing Benefits Provider Salary Finance Launches Podcast, “Working on Wellbeing”

Each episode of “Working on Wellbeing” introduces listeners to purpose-driven people doing good in the world

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Salary Finance, the leading global provider of socially responsible financial products in the workplace, today announced the debut of its new podcast, “Working on Wellbeing”. The podcast, which delivers inspirational stories of change agents, entrepreneurs, students, teachers, and big thinkers focused on improving the livelihood of others, is targeted at the C-Suite and HR leaders but is relevant to anyone with an interest in wellbeing. In Deloitte’s 2020 Human Capital Trends report, wellbeing was rated as the most important issue for nearly 10,000 global C-Level executives’ minds.

Each episode of “Working on Wellbeing” is hosted by Anita Ward, a cultural anthropologist and Chief Development Officer at Salary Finance. Ward’s own inspirational story has led to a career devoted to helping businesses create better work environments for their employees and, more recently, evangelizing financial wellness for employees. Ward grew up destitute in Pennsylvania, moving more than a dozen times before she was a teenager. It was as a teen that she worked for a McDonald’s manager in Las Vegas who changed her life, teaching her about financial literacy - and making sure she had food to bring home to her family.

“We’ve all dealt with so much hardship the last 18 months and the world is filled with so much negativity,” Ward said. “On this podcast, we want to bring back some positives and share stories of good people trying to make the world a better place. We’ll learn about their ‘WOW’ moment and how it got them to where they are today. We’ll explore how financial wellbeing contributes to mental and physical health, how people are championing the movement toward more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplaces, and how everyday people build financial resilience in their own lives.”

On the first episode of “Working on Wellbeing”, Ward is joined by Ashley Brundage, president and author of Empowering Differences, and a leader in diversity and inclusion in financial services. Additional episodes available today feature Steve Bartlett, former United States Congressman and President and CEO of the Financial Services Roundtable and Alice Rodriguez, Head of Community Impact and Managing Director at JPMorgan Chase & Co.

Upcoming guests on the program include Bruce Huntley, Vice President of Human Resources, Acclara Solutions; and Matt Caldaroni, CEO, Molliteum. “Working on Wellbeing” is available on all podcast listening platforms.
