WiteSand Named First and Only Cloud Enhanced Network Access Control Solution in 650 Group Report

Report Found the Enhanced Network Access Control (ENAC) Market Grew 17% Y/o/Y in 2Q21

SAN JOSE, Calif.--()--WiteSand, the company delivering plug and play simplicity to wired and wireless enterprise networking, today announced it has been recognized in a recently published report by 650 Group, a leading Market Intelligence Research firm for communications, data center, and cloud markets.

In its ENAC Market and Long-Term Forecast Report, 650 Group stated that “what is unique about WiteSand is that it is the first to market in offering a true cloud-based ENAC offering, with nothing to install on-prem. Integrated multi-vendor wired and wireless provisioning provides additional zero trust controls, which is impractical with solitary NAC solutions.”

The report found that ENAC is growing rapidly, with the market experiencing 17% Y/o/Y revenue growth during 2Q21, the second quarter in a row that had double-digit annual growth following pandemic-initiated lockdowns.

“We are honored to be recognized by 650 Group in its latest ENAC report,” said Praveen Jain, CEO, WiteSand. “NAC is becoming a more important facet of enterprise network security as employers seek to achieve zero-trust access by securing corporate Wi-Fi SSIDs, wired wall jacks, guest networks, and IoT devices. With a global workforce, onsite and remote, the potential threats from unpatched BYOD devices further require increased focus on securing networks from propagating any zero-day attacks.”

“We're getting traction with current Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, and Forescout customers looking for a cloud-native solution,” added Jain. “And, even customers who neglected NAC due to its complexity are finding it simple to secure their networks with WiteSand's intent-based solution."

“ENAC’s move to the Cloud is exciting and presents an opportunity for customers to manage their device control systems in multiple modes,” said Chris DePuy, Founder and Technology Analyst, 650 Group. “Furthermore, vendors are responding to changes in the marketplace by leveraging cloud-services, colocation, and other delivery mechanisms to address changes to the workforce since the emergence of the pandemic as well as the prevalence of IoT devices. Additionally, we expect that new Cloud-hosted SaaS ENAC such as WiteSand’s may increase the appeal of ENAC to a broader set of customers.”

The report also mentioned WiteSand’s industry-first Network Time Machine, which enables network managers to go back and forth in history to gain deeper insights into logs, events, and changes from every corner of the entire network infrastructure. The Network Time Machine utilizes the power of AI/ML to enrich network data, deliver unprecedented visibility, and automate root cause analysis.

WiteSand’s intent-based NAC is cloud-native and can be deployed as an independent solution or combined with the company’s full suite of asset discovery, provisioning, monitoring, and flow analytics. It provides the simplicity of plug and play wired and wireless networking, as well as peace of mind with zero trust network access. The offering can span global networks reaching offices, campuses, retail, clinics, manufacturing, or any other site. It supports brownfield and greenfield environments, with single vendor or multi-vendor networks of hardware switches and access points.
