AM Best Briefing to Present Leading Issues Facing U.S. Mutual Property/Casualty Insurers

OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AM Best will present an online briefing examining the key issues affecting U.S. mutual insurance companies in the property/casualty industry on Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. (EDT).

During the AM Best Briefing, titled, “Pandemic Forges Double-Edged Sword for U.S. Mutuals,” a panel of AM Best analysts and industry leaders will review rated mutual insurers’ financial results in 2020 and through first-half 2021, which were strong despite initial pessimism due to the pandemic. Other issues to be discussed are changing policyholder behavior in the auto and homeowner lines of business and how insurers’ investments in innovation paid dividends during COVID-19. Portions of the discussion will be based on AM Best’s annual report on rated U.S. mutual property/casualty insurers.
