“The high command of the United States Army in World War II recognized General Rose as responsible for shortening World War II due to his strategic skills and unique military leadership abilities.”– Marshall Fogel, Author

Major General Rose is the highest-ranking US serviceman killed as a prisoner of war in WWII, and highest ranking and most distinguished Jewish-American soldier in US history. Maurice Rose passed away over 76 years ago, but with this monument his life of integrity and military accomplishment will continue to serve as an inspiration to future generations of Coloradans.
