VANCOUVER, British Columbia--()--In celebration of Pride month, Purdys Chocolatier has commissioned queer Taiwanese Canadian artist, Edward Fu-Chen Juan, to design a special edition chocolate gift box called the “All Together Now Gift Box”. With this special Pride box, his lively design represents the joyful diversity of the queer community and reminds us that every person, body, and identity should be celebrated.

“I was stoked when Purdys Chocolatier approached me to work on a pride collaboration, and I’m really proud of what we came up with,” says Edward. “To me, Pride means inclusiveness and preserving queer history, and ultimately, this became the inspiration behind the design. With this gift box, I hope it encourages everyone to celebrate pride and queer history, and learn more about how they can support the 2SLGBTQ+ community.”

This partnership with Edward is in support of The Get REAL Movement, a non-profit organization focused on combating 2SLGBTQ+ discrimination, racism and bullying in schools, summer camps and workplaces. Purdys will be donating $5 from every purchase to The Get REAL Movement. They have a goal of donating $30,000 through Purple Partnerships, their new philanthropic initiative, with a portion of the proceeds coming from the All Together Now Gift Box.

“Purdys Chocolatier has always been about creating connection and joy through our chocolate and we have a long history of giving back to our communities,” says Kriston Dean, VP of Sales and Marketing. “We’re delighted to partner with Edward and The Get REAL Movement in support of the 2SLGBTQ+ community. This is part of our ongoing journey to learn and make ourselves better every day.”

The Get REAL Movement is the first partnership under Purple Partnerships, a new Purdys initiative where they partner with amazing organizations to support their missions, strengthen their voice and inspire themselves and their communities to stand for the same values.

The “All Together Now Gift Box'' and the entire Pride collection is available in Purdys shops across Canada and online at www.purdys.com as of June 1st, 2021.
