Paul is a highly experienced investor and former investment banker with over 30-years of experience in the power generation and alternative energy sectors. Before joining C.J. Lawrence, Paul was hired as a senior analyst by Ken Griffin at Citadel and worked on the private equity side as an investor in both healthcare-IT and alternative energy opportunities.

Paul began his career in 1986 as a senior auditor at Peat Marwick & Main before transitioning to investment banking at Merrill Lynch in 1989. He moved to Smith Barney in 1992 as a Senior Banker in the utilities sector. In 1998, he was hired by Wasserstein Perella LLC to build their Power & Utility M&A advisory business and where he advised on the $18.2 billion Unicom merger and the $2.2 billion acquisition of Illinois Power, among others.
