Reconstruct® Triples Growth to Extend Leadership Position in Remote Construction Quality Control and Progress Monitoring

MENLO PARK, Calif.--()--Reconstruct, the leader in remote quality control and progress monitoring for construction, today announces major expansion across its customer base and product capabilities. After tripling growth in 2020 despite the challenges of the global pandemic, Reconstruct maintained this growth rate in Q1 2021 with major milestones across sales, partnerships, and product. Highlighting the company’s growing momentum, Reconstruct’s CEO Zak MacRunnels said, “The construction industry has been digitizing steadily over the past decade, and remote quality control and progress monitoring has gone mainstream among leading general contractors and owners because of the clear ROI it delivers.”

With documented case studies showing 50%+ improvement in on-time completion and 30% reduction in time to report progress, there are significant benefits to all project stakeholders. Which is why leading global contractors including Walbridge, Skanska, and Taisei, as well as major owners including Japan Railways, McDonald’s Owner Operators, and Oracle continued to expand their use of Reconstruct. At the same time, new users have signed on including 7-Eleven, Office Depot and New York State Department of Transportation, as well as megaprojects ranging from airports in the Middle East to railroads and subways in Asia-Pacific.

Based on innovative developments across AI and Computer Vision, momentum on the product side has been equally strong. Major new capabilities released in Q1 2021 alone include:

  • Hyperlapse, which makes the process of reality capture and upload 100% automated and 5X faster, allowing users to see their results the same day
  • Extended reporting capabilities providing executives with real-time visibility into project progress
  • Autodesk® BIM360 bi-directional integration which synchronizes data between BIM360 Docs and the customer’s Reconstruct project

Henrik Ljungberg, Digital Innovation Manager at Skanska, provides this assessment of the Reconstruct platform: “We are pleased how Reconstruct continues to innovate, listens to feedback, ideas and suggestions from the construction site, and provides increasing value in one unified platform.”
