Relation Insurance Services, Inc. Acquires the Assets of Clark Farley Insurance Agency, Inc.

Transaction adds to Relation’s presence in South Carolina and further expands the Relation Select platform

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Relation Insurance Services, Inc. (“Relation”), one of the largest and fastest-growing national insurance agencies, announced today it acquired the assets of South Carolina-based Clark Farley Insurance Agency, Inc. (“Farley”). Farley was previously part of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company’s (“Nationwide”) exclusive distribution model. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Farley provides commercial and personal lines insurance solutions to clients throughout South Carolina and is headquartered in Columbia, South Carolina, with multiple locations throughout the state. Farley is one of the longest-standing former Nationwide exclusive agencies that went independent and will join Relation’s Main Street/small commercial division, Relation Select. Clark Farley and Kevin Spencer will continue to lead Farley under Relation Select.

This transaction marks Relation’s second in South Carolina in the past twelve months. Relation previously acquired Theodore & Associates in Columbia in July 2020. This transaction also continues Relation’s recent acquisitions of several former Nationwide exclusive agents and the formation of Relation Select to be a platform for agencies that focus on Main Street/small commercial and personal lines business. It provides partner agencies access to a variety of insurance solutions and services to support existing commercial and personal lines clients.
