CDMN Rebrands to Canada's Tech Network

Organization connects regional innovation ecosystems and supports global expansion for tech SMEs

KITCHENER, Ontario--()--As announced last week at its bi-annual members’ meeting, the Canadian Digital Media Network has rebranded and in addition to a refreshed logo and website design, the organization has officially changed its name to ‘Canada’s Tech Network’. This new name better captures the network’s mission of supporting Canadian tech-driven companies with opportunities to help bring more tech-enabled solutions to market, creating jobs and wealth throughout the entire country.

“Over the last ten years, Canada’s Tech Network has evolved beyond supporting digital media technology and platform providers into an important piece of Canada’s innovation infrastructure,” said Avvey Peters, Managing Director of Canada’s Tech Network. “Our updated name better captures the work that we do to support Canada’s small- and medium-sized tech firms as they grow and sell into global markets.”

Originally created as a federal Centre of Excellence in Commercialization and Research in 2009, Canada’s Tech Network now connects backbone organizations in regional tech ecosystems across the country. Today, the Network includes 28 innovation hubs across the country -- from St. John’s to Vancouver to Whitehorse.

Through its signature Soft Landing Program, Canada’s Tech Network has supported the international expansion of more than 860 Canadian companies since 2012. This work has resulted in more than $94,972,337 million in new revenue, more than $112,604,145 million in investment opportunities and the creation of more than 320 jobs across the country (as reported by client companies).
