AM Best to Deliver Keynote Presentation on Innovation Criteria at 2021 Insurance Innovators USA Conference

OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AM Best Chief Rating Officer Stefan Holzberger will deliver the first-day keynote address, titled, “Scoring and Assessing Innovation: View from AM Best,” at the 2021 Insurance Innovators USA Conference, taking place March 16-25, 2021.

AM Best believes the increased pace of change in society, climate and technology has made innovation increasingly critical to the long-term success of all insurers. In March 2020, AM Best formally integrated its criteria procedure, “Scoring and Assessing Innovation,” into its rating process, which outlines how AM Best explicitly will consider an insurance company’s innovation efforts. The criteria procedure is available at http://www.ambest.com/ratings/methodology.asp. Holzberger will discuss AM Best’s model for assessing and scoring innovation as it relates to an insurers’ financial strength and offer insights on how companies should prioritize their innovation initiatives, as well as look at how COVID-19 has shifted innovation efforts. The online session will take place at 10:10 a.m. (EDT) on Tuesday, March 16.

The 2021 Insurance Innovators USA Conference will be presented online in six full-day episodes and will feature representatives from a broad cross-section of the insurance industry who will gather to discuss the latest innovations.
