BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) today announced that it has appointed Rachel Simon as Senior Vice President, Head of U.S. Commercial Private and Nonprofit, Professional Lines and Transactional Liability Claims.

Rachel comes to BHSI with more than 20 years of Executive & Professional Lines experience. She was most recently employed by Great American Insurance Group, where she underwrote reps and warranties coverage. Prior to Great American, Rachel’s extensive claims experience includes leadership and technical roles with multi-national insurance carriers, as well as a law partner in private practice. She holds a bachelor’s and law degree from Fordham University.
