KBRA Releases ABS East 2020 Virtual Conference Recap

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA) releases its ABS East 2020 Virtual Conference Recap.

This year’s annual ABS East conference had a much different feel than in years past. Instead of walking through the noisy lobby in the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel to get to meetings and panel discussions, most conference attendees participated from the comfort of their own homes, as this year’s conference was completely virtual. Although there are still many unknowns that could have a meaningful impact on structured finance credit fundamentals, new issue supply, and pricing across the market in 2021, the general tone of conference panelists seemed cautiously optimistic, in our view.

In this report we provide our key takeaways from the various panel sessions over the past two days focused on the ABS, RMBS, Structured Credit, and CMBS markets, as well as the topics discussed during the two panels focused on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) investing.
