John Finnucan Appointed Chief Accounting Officer at Fisker Inc.

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fisker Inc. (Fisker) – designer and manufacturer of the world’s most emotion-stirring, eco-friendly electric vehicles and advanced mobility solutions – today announced the appointment of John Finnucan as chief accounting officer, effective immediately.

“With Fisker Inc. in the process of transition to a publicly traded company, trust in our plans, processes and people has never been more important,” said Henrik Fisker, chairman and CEO of Fisker Inc. “John joins us with an exceptional track record in financial reporting, audit and compliance and will be a key member of our leadership team as we build our company, transition soon to a public company, deliver on our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices, and work toward the launch of our first vehicle. As we have shown with our recently formed board of directors, Fisker is attracting a very high caliber of executive talent to join the company.”

From an ethical and greener supply chain to a diverse board of directors, Fisker is doubling down on reshaping the way automotive/mobility companies do business into the future. The company announced earlier this year that it aims to set the standard for ESG reporting and is developing a comprehensive strategy, which will evolve and grow with the company, to best measure Fisker's impact and progress toward sustainability and creating a cleaner future.

Mr. Finnucan brings 28 years of public accounting experience – along with his deep knowledge and understanding of accounting, SEC reporting and SOX compliance. John joins Fisker after 26 years with Ernst & Young LLP in its audit and national practices. He has held multiple professional practice and market-facing roles in the US and Japan and throughout his career, has led teams and served clients in the technology and automotive OEM sectors.

On joining Fisker, Mr. Finnucan said: “I am excited to join Fisker Inc., one of the new pioneers in creating sustainable electric vehicles. I am looking forward to joining the Fisker finance team and helping to build a best-in-class finance function that brings together the discipline of effective internal controls and reliable financial reporting, while working closely with stakeholders. This is a great opportunity, and I am excited to get started.”
