DALLAS--()--Melissa Butler has joined State Bank of Texas (SBT)—a $915 million asset full-service commercial bank headquartered in Dallas, TX—as Senior Vice President of Lending.

The expansion of the bank’s senior lending team was announced by Sushil Patel, President of SBT. “We are pleased to have Melissa join our leadership team,” said Patel. “As we continue to grow our core business of lending in the hospitality industry, her experience with nationwide lending in this industry will further strengthen our footprint across the country.”

A native of California, Melissa Butler now lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. She has over 20 years experience as a senior lender and business development professional, most recently with PMC Commercial Trust where she developed extensive expertise with SBA 7(a) and SBA 504 loans concentrated in the hospitality sector. This expertise will allow SBT to expand its SBA loan offerings to reach a broader customer base. In addition, she has cultivated a nationwide pipeline in the hospitality industry that can be served with a full array of conventional loans offered by SBT. She attended the University of North Texas, studying business management.
