Sierra Investment Management named to the Financial Times 300 Top Registered Investment Advisors for Third Consecutive Year

SANTA MONICA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sierra Investment Management is proud to announce that the firm has once again been named to the 2020 Financial Times’ list of the top US Independent Registered Advisors in the US. The list recognizes the top independent RIA firms, assessed on traits desirable to clients. This is the third consecutive year that the firm has been acknowledged by the Financial Times.

The seventh edition of the FT 300 is presented as an elite group, not a competitive ranking of one to 300, and areas of consideration include adviser AUM, asset growth, the company’s age, industry certifications of key employees, SEC compliance record and online accessibility. The formula the FT uses to grade advisers is based on these six broad factors and calculates a numeric score for each firm. Over 2000 registered investment advisor (RIA) firms are invited to apply and the final group was chosen from more than 760 applications.

”For over three decades, Sierra has been a pioneer in tactical, global, multi-asset-class portfolio management,” said Ken Sleeper, co-founder and Managing Director of Sierra. “We pursue positive results through market cycles and are laser focused on limiting downside risk.”

“Sierra Investment Management’s focus is on what can be controlled,” added David Wright, also co-founder and Managing Director of Sierra. “Volatility will always be an element of investing in the stock and bond markets, but Sierra’s investment strategies are engineered to navigate periods of volatility, with a systematic disciplined approach that seeks to limit the impact of any sustained declines on your overall portfolio.”

The research for the FT 300 was conducted by Ignites Research, an FT sister publication.
