Keyavi Data Announces New Executive Vice President of Sales

Sales Leader “Rocky” McMurray Joins to Lead Exceptional Experience for Growing Customer Base at Breakthrough Data Security Technology Company

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Keyavi Data, a security technology company that infuses protection directly into data itself, today announced that Rocky McMurray has joined the company as Executive Vice President of Sales. McMurray is a cybersecurity and technology executive with over 20 years of leadership of complex hardware and software projects for both DoD and enterprise. He has managed teams across the entire spectrum of engineering, product development, manufacturing, sales and support. He is a Naval Academy graduate and combat-proven leader with Masters’ Degrees in economics and engineering from the Naval Academy Post-Graduate School and holds multiple certifications.

"Rocky’s passion for helping customers solve their toughest data security and business challenges with innovative technologies is second to none,” said CEO Elliot Lewis. “His market acumen, strong industry relationships and deep insight into cybersecurity, cloud, SaaS, software development/DevOps, AI/ML and IoT solutions make him an outstanding choice to lead our sales team.”

“With cyber attacks on the rise, and virtual private networks straining under the crush of record numbers of remote workers logging into their employers’ networks during the COVID-19 pandemic, enterprises and government agencies are challenged with supporting large, remote workforces with best-in-class technologies that protect sensitive data,” Lewis added. “Rocky’s impressive track record and ability to meet the needs of our key enterprise and government customers made him the perfect fit for our young company. I’m elated to welcome him to Keyavi’s executive ranks.”

"This technology is truly a game-changer, almost to the point that people don’t believe it until we demonstrate it to them,” said McMurray. “To be able to ensure that the crown jewels of an enterprise’s intellectual property can be secured into perpetuity, even after it leaves their control, solves many of the high-profile breach issues we have all read about in recent years. You only get to be on the ground floor of something like this once in your life if you are lucky, and I am truly honored to join this awesome team and bring this important Keyavi tech to the market!” he added.

Keyavi is growing dramatically to ensure its customers can share their data freely and collaborate across their business and ecosystem while knowing that only authorized users can access their data regardless of who has possession of it or where it goes, for as long as wanted or even revoke access as quickly as the business changes. McMurray joins the recent key arrivals of industry CIO/CTO Chris Chiancone and VP of Cyber Threat and Intelligence TJ Minichillo, as the company continues adding key talent. With additional resources from Keyavi’s most recent funding round this quarter, the company is primed to grow its foothold in providing the only product on the market today able to infuse self-protection into data itself.

About Keyavi Data

Headquartered in Las Vegas, Keyavi Data’s transformative cybersecurity technology makes any type of data self-protecting by infusing multi-layered protection into the actual data itself. This transformative technology, available in both an API and a client software product, makes data intelligent and self-aware of where it is, who has it and what device it is on to determine whether it is authorized by its owner at that time to allow access.

Under development for 10 years before launching in 2020, this innovative cybersecurity technology has been awarded 12 U.S. patents to date and is compliant with FIPS-140-2 for NIST. For companies and government entities that need to control confidential and intellectual property from accidental loss or a cyber attack, Keyavi’s easy-to-use yet robust security delivers peace of mind. In today’s growing locations of disparate workforces and partner ecosystems, Keyavi plays a critical role in making data leaks and breaches irrelevant.
