Masco Corporation Updates Second Quarter Outlook

LIVONIA, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Masco Corporation (NYSE: MAS), one of the world’s leading manufacturers of branded home improvement and building products, has updated the outlook for its second quarter performance.

Due to a better than anticipated rebound in sales during the quarter, Masco now expects second quarter sales to be down approximately 8% versus prior year excluding currency, compared to the previously announced anticipated sales decrease of 15-20%. Second quarter sales in the Plumbing Products segment are expected to be down approximately 19% excluding currency, and in the Decorative Architectural Products segment sales are expected to increase approximately 6%. With the anticipated increased sales, Masco expects decremental margins in the second quarter to be stronger than the previously announced range of 35-40%.
