Armorblox Named a 2020 Cool Vendor in Cloud Office Security by Gartner

Research Designed to Highlight New and Innovative Products and Services in the Cloud Office Security Space

CUPERTINO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Armorblox, an inbound and outbound email protection company, today announced that it has been recognized as a Cool Vendor in the “Cool Vendors in Cloud Office Security” report by Gartner, Inc1.

Cloud office adoption is becoming nearly universal, accelerated even further by the rush to support the remote workforce, yet gaps remain in data protection and visibility. According to Gartner, “Roughly half of all cybercrime losses were due to either business email compromise (BEC) or email account compromise (EAC). With the rise of business email compromise, buyers often look for a single product that can provide protection against all advanced cloud office threats.”

Armorblox is a cloud-native inbound and outbound email protection platform that connects to email providers over APIs. By leveraging natural language understanding, deep learning, and other techniques, Armorblox is able to analyze thousands of email signals including the language within email bodies to stop socially engineered email attacks such as payroll fraud, vendor fraud, account takeovers, and advanced impersonation. The Armorblox language models also detect and stop sensitive data like PII, PCI, and passwords from being accessed by non-compliant recipients.

“We see Armorblox being named a Gartner Cool Vendor as a significant validation of our unique approach to protecting enterprise communications,” said DJ Sampath, Co-founder and CEO of Armorblox. “Email is still the true system of record for businesses, making it fertile ground for both deliberate breach attempts and accidental data loss. We believe that the combination of identity, behavior, and - importantly - language signals provide the most effective detection framework for protecting email communications today.”

Organizations can leverage predefined detection and remediation in Armorblox to automatically block suspicious emails, automate phishing mailbox remediation, and prevent outbound data loss. Armorblox integrates with Office 365, G Suite, and Microsoft Exchange over APIs to offer comprehensive email security without MX record modifications or email rerouting.
