YGC Announces Startup Studio, Rapidly Solving Industry Challenges with Fortune 500 Partners

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--YGC launched two ventures with enterprises in the transportation and energy industries, partnering with their innovation teams to build industrial grade products.

Emerging from executive summits drawing leadership from Oracle, Ascension, Exxon, Walmart, IBM, BP, and Shell, YGC’s first venture is enabling secure workforce verification within the oil & gas services industry. YGC also has a commercial contract with a major automotive brand, delivering an assistive voice-enabled software to speed up technician repair and training.

YGC debuted their new web presence at YGCdata.com, establishing a commitment to solving enterprise data challenges. As a startup studio, YGC discovers industry challenges with enterprise leaders, launches dedicated startups to tackle their complex problems, and grows these solution focused businesses to scale.

YGC was founded by Gavin Gillas (Partner, CEO) and Henry Liu (Partner, COO) in 2019 in Austin, Texas.

Gavin Gillas is an experienced tech CEO and Capital Factory mentor with a history of IP-driven technology projects. Gavin was the CEO of The Magazine Channel, an ATI and Intel-backed company, which was acquired in 2016. Prior to that, he spent 15 years as an attorney in tech commercialization licensing deals worldwide.

Henry Liu previously worked at Facebook, advising founders of startups from Series A to D on growth. Most recently, he was the head of investments of an emerging technology focused investment firm. Fluent in three languages, Henry built relationships with global investment groups from Hong Kong to Dubai. Henry has been a featured speaker at SXSW, Money2020 and conferences all over the world. He’s frequently featured in CNBC, Business Insider, and Forbes for his opinions on startups and emerging technologies.
