AMI Aviation Announces EASA Approval for Garmin® G950 NXi in Beech 1900D

SANFORD, Fla.--()--AMI Aviation Services, LLC, an AeroMech company, today announced European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) approval of the Garmin® G950 NXi next generation integrated flight deck for Beech 1900D aircraft. The G950 STC is now approved by the FAA, EASA, and Transport Canada.

Designed to solve dispatch reliability and aging/obsolete avionics concerns on the 1900D fleet, the G950 NXi integrated flight deck is essentially a “zero time” all glass cockpit and integrated avionics retrofit. AMI Aviation, or other qualified Garmin dealers, install the G950 NXi using a factory-built PMA kit with all new avionics, 3rd party parts, honeycomb shelves, CNC-milled structural parts, and 5,000 feet of laser marked wire. Utilizing G1000 hardware with millions of flight hours in service, the G950 NXi has been in airline and corporate shuttle operation on the 1900D fleet for more than 5 years with commitments from 15 operators for 40+ aircraft. Weight savings is approximately 225 pounds. New G950 NXi installations and display upgrades all come with a two-year warranty, which is supported by Garmin’s award-winning avionics product support team. An optional five-year warranty is also available.

Operators interested in extending the operational life and capabilities of the 1900D aircraft with the G950 NXi, including additional safety and situational awareness features such as Moving Map, TAWS-A, TCAS, Satellite Weather, Iridium Talk/Text, and Synthetic Vision, are encouraged to contact AMI Aviation Services (www.amiaviation.com) at +1 407.585.6130.
