MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Meritas, the global alliance of independent law firms, announced today that it has named Sona Pancholy as the organization’s next president. Pancholy is a proven leader who brings 25 years of leadership in the legal industry to the role. Most recently she was a senior leader at Bloomberg Industry Group. She previously led client relationships and business development efforts at Akin Gump, Venable LLP, and Stinson Leonard Street and was the executive director of the World Jurist Association. Pancholy earned her JD from Boston University School of Law and her LLM in international law from American University Washington College of Law.
As president, Pancholy will be responsible for providing Meritas with strategic leadership and working collaboratively with key stakeholders to establish and implement organizational vision and strategy.
