William Blair Expands Private Wealth Management in New York With the Addition of Two Veteran Financial Advisors

CHICAGO & NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--William Blair, the premier global boutique with expertise in investment banking, investment management, and private wealth management, today announced the addition of two veteran financial advisors to the New York office. The team of Eve Ellis, CFP, CIMA, and Nikolay Djibankov, CFA, joins the firm’s growing Private Wealth Management group from Morgan Stanley. Known as the Matterhorn Group, the team has decades of cumulative experience, and is focused on executing sophisticated financial and philanthropic plans for individuals, businesses, and nonprofit institutions.

The team manages two actively managed investment mandates for investors seeking both financial and social returns: the Gender Parity Portfolio, a gender lens strategy, and the Diversity & Inclusion Portfolio, which analyzes 24 metrics related to diversity issues.

“We are delighted to have Eve and Nikolay join our growing Private Wealth Office in New York,” said Ryan DeVore, partner and global head of Private Wealth Management for William Blair. “We continue to add the highest-quality talent with experienced professionals who have built their careers serving clients and caring for their communities.”

Over the past several years, William Blair’s Private Wealth Management group expanded to Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, New York, and San Francisco. The firm looks to expand private wealth to Southern California, Colorado, and other select markets in the future.

With approximately $44 billion in private wealth assets as of December 31, 2019, William Blair has been recognized as a well-respected provider of private wealth management services. The firm’s advisors deliver both the resources of a large, full-service firm and the hands-on approach of a sophisticated boutique.
