PERSUIT Recognized as an Emerging Technology Leader in HBR Consulting’s Annual Law Department Survey

Law Departments Rate Leading Technology Vendors in New Report

NEW YORK--()--PERSUIT has been rated as one of the most widely used Legal RFP Tool providers by corporate law departments, according to the 2019 HBR Consulting (HBR) Law Department Survey.

Now in its 16th year, HBR Consulting’s Law Department Survey continues to provide strategic insights and benchmarking data to U.S. and global law departments. In addition to assessing law department performance and trends, the survey also explores law department participants’ use of and satisfaction with various legal technologies. The participants, which represent more than 225 law departments, were asked to rate tools in the following categories: contract management, document management, discovery, e-Billing, legal spend analytics, workflow and more.

In 2019 HBR introduced ‘Legal RFP Tools’ for the first time as an emerging technology in the survey. Nineteen percent of responding law departments reported having implemented a legal RFP tool, while an additional 14% were considering implementation within the next one to two years.

Among RFP tools with legal domain expertise, PERSUIT was recognized as the most widely used provider, representing 22% of responding law departments with an implemented Legal RFP Tool. Additionally, PERSUIT was a leader in customer satisfaction with an average rating of 4.3 out of 5, according to the 2019 survey.

“In consulting with law departments on how to optimize outside counsel management programs, we often hear that in-house leaders find corporate-provided RFP technologies difficult to tailor to the unique needs of their department,” said Kevin Clem, Chief Commercial Officer for HBR. “PERSUIT has helped advance this category of emerging legal technology to meet the RFP needs of the legal industry, and we congratulate PERSUIT for its impressive adoption and customer satisfaction rating in our 2019 survey.”

“The PERSUIT team is thrilled at being recognized as the legal industry’s leading RFP platform tailored for in-house teams. HBR’s Annual Law Department Survey is the industry’s premier benchmarking survey. To have performed so well in the survey is recognition from leading in-house teams that we’re solving a real problem in the legal RFP and outsourcing space and doing so in a way that our customers are delighted with,” said Jim Delkousis, PERSUIT CEO and Founder.
