DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Generational Equity, a leading mergers and acquisitions advisor for privately held businesses, is pleased to announce the sale of its client, Norwalk Tank Company, to Minnick Services Corp. The acquisition closed January 28, 2019.
Norwalk Tank Company, based in Joliet, Illinois, sells precast concrete products for the underground storm water and wastewater industries. The company provides manholes, flared end sections, septic tanks, home sewage treatment systems, catch basins, and grease traps. Its customers include those in the residential, commercial/industrial, wholesale, strip mall and fast food restaurant sectors throughout Illinois and Indiana.
Minnick Services is made of three distinct divisions: precast concrete manufacturing, funeral services, and pet memorializing services. With headquarters in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the company serves Northern and Central Indiana and Northeastern Illinois.
The Norwalk acquisition complements Minnick’s precast concrete division, which manufactures concrete manhole structures, Redi-Rock precast retaining-wall systems, and Pole Base, a precast custom utility system for the installation of light poles.
Generational Equity Senior Managing Director Doug Smith’s team, led by Stephen Dinehart with support from Senior VP Ryan Johnson, successfully closed the deal.
“The acquisition of Norwalk Tank by Minnick Services brings together two great family-owned and run companies,” said Dinehart. “Minnick Services ensures continuity in the great customer service Norwalk has always provided to its market and creates new opportunities for their new team members to continue professional growth.”
