INDIANAPOLIS--()--Hyatt Regency Indianapolis announces the completion of the first phase of its multi-million dollar renovation, which includes the opening of its completely renovated revolving rooftop restaurant, The Eagle’s Nest, as well as completion of a redesign of the hotel’s more than 35,000 square feet of state-of-the art meeting and event spaces, ground floor restaurants, lobby and fitness center.

Managed by Columbia Sussex, the contemporary 499-room hotel is conveniently connected to the Convention Center and located just steps from the vibrant downtown sites, including Lucas Oil Stadium, Circle Centre Mall and renowned dining destinations. The hotel features modern amenities blended effortlessly with classic design elements, creating a comfortable oasis in the heart of one of the Midwest’s most exciting cities. The hotel’s renovation is inspired by the city’s rich history in jazz, whose musical movements and fluid forms mimic the city’s notorious need for speed. Similarly, the hotel’s aesthetic is bursting with warm and rich tones that rhythmically come together through visually appealing design elements.

The renovation’s second phase, which is anticipated to be completed in early 2020, will include guest rooms and suites, the indoor pool and additional public spaces.

Phase 1: The Eagle’s Nest, Meeting Spaces, Ground Floor Restaurants & Lobby

The Eagle’s Nest

Named among the Top 10 Most Romantic Restaurants in Indiana and Top 50 Most Romantic Restaurants in the U.S., the newly-redesigned Eagle’s Nest offers Indiana’s only rotating rooftop restaurant. Highlights of the restaurant’s top-to-bottom redesign include new flooring, furniture, lighting, artwork, wine display and lighting enhancements.

The Eagle’s Nest serves classic American cuisine made from fresh locally-sourced ingredients in a captivating space that features stunning panoramic views of the downtown skyline. Indianapolis locals and guests alike enjoy The Eagle’s Nest for all occasions – from romantic evenings out to boisterous celebratory meals.

Meeting & Event Spaces

As part of the first phase of its renovation, Hyatt Regency Indianapolis introduces more than 35,000 square feet of completely redesigned state-of-the-art conference space and stylish meeting rooms. Located in the heart of the city and connected via skywalk to the Indiana Convention Center, the hotel features a stunning 9,400 square foot ballroom that can accommodate up to 1,100 guests – providing an ideal gathering place for social functions and business events.

The renovated meeting and event space is designed to reflect the hotel’s contemporary, upscale design with new carpeting, lighting and furniture. Spaces such as the 1,000 square foot Studio Lounge have been entirely redesigned to improve functionality and create more open floorplans.

In direct response to feedback from meeting attendees, the hotel has also added several smaller breakout spaces throughout its conference areas to encourage small group meetings and brainstorming sessions. Additionally, the hotel offers professional event planners, innovative catering, audiovisual equipment, and business services that will elevate the occasion.

Ground Floor Restaurants & Lobby

Upon arrival to Hyatt Regency Indianapolis, guests will notice the newly redesigned lobby area, which has been updated with all-new flooring, furniture, modern lighting and décor.

With the renovation, the hotel introduces its newest dining concept, fat Rooster diner, which offers freshly-sourced farm-to-table dining with a casual diner feel. Focused on sourcing the best local Indiana ingredients, the new restaurant’s chef-driven menu highlights a modern take on classic Midwest diner fare. With a focus on comfort foods – from artisan sandwiches and flatbreads to daily-made soups, individual casseroles and scratch pies – fat Rooster diner offers a refreshing soil-to-city culinary experience inspired by the Midwest.

Additionally, with the first phase of the hotel’s redesign, the Level One lounge has been updated to provide a modern, chic atmosphere featuring handmade cocktails and small plates. As part of the renovation, additional seating for groups was added to the dining room, which has created a more family-friendly environment within the lounge.

Fitness Center

The newly-designed on-site StayFit™ Fitness Center offers each guest an opportunity to enhance their stay and keep active with state-of-the-art equipment in a calm and contemporary environment. The Fitness Center features all new equipment, including Precor® Cardio machines, and is complimentary for guest use.

Additionally, Hyatt Regency Indianapolis offers guests an on-site fitness concierge to assist with equipment needs and provide detailed maps of local running and walking trails.

Phase II: Guest Rooms & Additional Public Spaces

As part of the next phase of the multi-million dollar renovation, Hyatt Regency Indianapolis is completely redesigning its guest rooms, indoor pool and additional public areas. This will include all 499 rooms and suites, as well as additional comfortable spaces for guests to enjoy throughout the public areas of the hotel. These areas will reflect the overall contemporary design aesthetic, rich with visual interest and infused with a variety of textures that promote guest comfort and enjoyment of the new spaces.
