CURE® to Host Patient-Focused Sessions on Multiple Myeloma in Charlotte

The full-day event seeks to educate and inform patients with multiple myeloma while challenging their thinking about the disease

CRANBURY, N.J.--()--CURE Media Group, which reaches over 1 million patients, survivors and caregivers across an industry-leading multimedia platform devoted solely to cancer updates and research, will host several patient-focused sessions on multiple myeloma Saturday, Dec.14, at the Hilton Charlotte Executive Park in Charlotte, North Carolina.

“We are looking forward to hosting these patient-focused sessions catered for the multiple myeloma community,” said Mike Hennessy Jr., president and CEO of MJH Life Sciences™, parent company of CURE® magazine. “This program is designed to provide live practical education to patients, advocates, nurses and survivors to address needs and concerns specifically associated with multiple myeloma.”

This one-day multiple myeloma program will represent all stages of disease and demographics of patients with multiple myeloma, as well as their caregivers and advocates. During this conference session, Cesar Rodriguez Valdes, M.D., assistant professor of internal medicine/hematology and oncology at Wake Forest University Comprehensive Cancer Center, and Terry White, a patient with multiple myeloma from Juneau, Alaska, will give a joint lecture about their trek to Patagonia last week to raise awareness about multiple myeloma. As a part of a fundraising effort by Moving Mountains for Multiple Myeloma (MM4MM), Dr. Rodriguez and White were part of a 13-person team that consisted of patients with multiple myeloma, caregivers, family members and doctors. This award-winning program is a collaboration between the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) and CURE Media Group to raise research funds, awareness and hope for people with myeloma.

CURE® is partnering with The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation to present CURE®'s patient-focused sessions on multiple myeloma. During these sessions, expert faculty presenters will review clinical data on the basics of the disease – from the newly diagnosed patient to those who experience a recurrence – as well as information on various diagnostics and treatment options.
