HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--One of America’s leading engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firms, S & B Engineers and Constructors, Ltd. (S & B), announced David Taylor as the company’s new executive vice president and chief operations officer (COO), effective September 9, 2019. Taylor replaces Thomas Collins, who will assume a new role as a senior vice president and trusted consultant as he plans for retirement after 19 years of distinguished service.
Taylor joined S & B 31 years ago as a mechanical superintendent and has since worked in various senior roles, including most recently, senior vice president of EPC and construction. As COO, Taylor will lead S & B’s ever-expanding portfolio of world-scale energy and petrochemical projects. Recently, the multinational chemical company, LyondellBasell, hired S & B to construct a new, 34-acre ethers unit at LyondellBasell’s Bayport Complex in Pasadena, Texas.

John Parker will succeed Taylor as senior vice president of EPC and construction, effective September 9, 2019. Parker has served more than 30 years at S & B, successfully leading numerous major projects to design and construct midstream and downstream process facilities.
